Moly-Cop offers its clients a wide range of mineral processing cleaning equipment spare parts, designed for the toughest mining conditions.

Within the flotation columns mineral separation takes place in an agitated and/or aerated water mineral slurry where the surfaces of selected minerals are made water-repellent by conditioning with various types of flotation reagents.  The separation takes place within the column that is much taller than the cross-section of the cell.  Air is then introduced into the slurry via the column through spargers, which create a counter current flow of air bubbles.

The Process

Compared to traditional mechanical cells, column flotation is slower, but it allows for improved kinetics.
