Omaha, Nebraska. –Molycop, a leading mining consumables and services company, announced today that Ian Tooze has been appointed as the company’s first-ever Vice President of Global Sustainability. In this role, Mr Tooze will add oversight of the company’s sustainability strategy for Molycop, with a focus on accelerating the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable value through its environmental, social, and governance commitments.

Ian brings significant experience to the role with more than 30 years’ experience in the manufacturing, Industrial and mining sectors, working in a variety of roles across Engineering, Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Technology commercialisation and Business Development. In his new role Ian will lead our carbon foot printing work and develop our pathway to net zero, including the setting of emission reduction targets. Ian will also explore technologies to displace fossil fuels and reduce our carbon emissions. The research has focussed on understanding high-temperature reactions of waste and selective synthesis techniques to transform waste into valuable materials and products, including metallic alloys, oxides and carbon, which can be consumed in our steelmaking process. In his new role Ian will lead our carbon foot printing work and develop our pathway to net zero, including the setting of emission reduction targets. Ian will also explore technologies to displace fossil fuels and reduce our carbon emissions.
