Molycop has hired a new account management team to strengthen its leadership in the important Brazilian market. The appointments have been made as part of a new supply arrangement that will give customers in Brazil greater access to products, services and localised support.
Molycop is proud to welcome three new account managers to its team in Brazil. The appointments will energise Molycop’s leadership in the Brazilian mining sector and provide Molycop customers with local knowledge and leadership, and access to an integrated suite of Molycop products, services and solutions.
Let’s meet the new appointments...
Marcus is a mining engineer with six years’ experience working with plant processes. His new role will require him to manage Molycop’s existing clients in North and Northeast Brazil as well as welcome onboard new customers in flotation reagents, grinding media and leaching markets.
Marcus is excited about working with Molycop’s multidisciplinary team to successfully expand Molycop’s supply arrangements to Brazil. Serving the Brazilian market efficiently means adopting a customised strategy for each client based on their unique requirements. Brazil may be a country of continental dimensions, Marcus says, but it now brings faster response times and more options to its customers to serve their various needs.
My position is Territory manager of North Brazil, although I am also working together with the rest of the team in the rest of the Brazilian market. My main customers are in the North and Northeast of Brazil. I am responsible for defending clients that we already have in the market and also for developing new customers in flotation reagents, grinding media and leaching markets.
I am a mining engineer with six years working with plant processes. I have worked as an application and sales engineer in the area of grinding media and flotation reagents and also as a senior process engineer at Vale, where I was technically responsible for the grinding, flotation and filtration areas. Therefore, I believe I can contribute by having these two views of customer and supplier, better understanding how the customer thinks and how their structure requires developments to occur.
What excites me most is working for a global company like Molycop, where we have a multidisciplinary team from different countries and diverse professional experiences. I am excited to interact and learn from everyone so that we can increase the Brazilian market in a consistent way.
Brazil is a country of continental dimensions, with demanding customers who require the supplier's full attention. That's why I see Molycop's move to have its own structure very assertive, because now we have faster response times and more options to serve customers and their different needs in the mining industry.
To efficiently serve the Brazilian market, a customised strategy for each client is necessary. Because there are clients where technical knowledge and tradition of service quality are the most important, others where a range of quality is acceptable and others where purely price is the predominant variable. That's why the Brazilian team is experienced and has already defined strategies to reach different types of customers in the Brazilian market.
Molycop is a global company with an international culture that promotes social wellbeing and human development wherever it goes. I'm sure that in Brazil it will be no different. I count on everyone's support to bring this to the local population.
In my opinion, responsible resource management should be our priority, both to guide our customers and the community, as this leads to several sustainable results such as increased quality of life and reduced losses.
The role of data and analysis is crucial in the Brazilian market as it allows us to have a powerful understanding tool to improve our customer service, helping us to better perform our activities.
I learned to fish from my father and I like to fish on the weekends when I can. I hope my son will also enjoy fishing with me when he gets older!
I like to dedicate my time to my wife. We go out to dinner at a good restaurant or watch a new film at the cinema. I also like to spend time with my parents whenever I can.
Renato brings a decade of experience as a Process Engineer to his role of Territory Manager Brazil South. His core areas of responsibility relate to meeting the needs of customers in the country’s Southeast, Midwest and South regions, particularly in relation to grinding media and chemical flotation reagents.
Renato is inspired to help new and prospective customers find the mining products they need and at competitive prices. He says Molycop’s expansion into Brazil will foster economic growth, enhance community wellbeing and strengthen the company’s commitment to sustainable development.
New Territory Manager Antônio Tropia is responsible for looking after the high chrome grinding media needs of Molycop customers in Brazil. He brings over two decades experience to the role and is excited about building on Molycop’s strong reputation in the Brazil market. In particular, he hopes to educate customers about what solutions are available to them to reduce their energy, grinding media and chemical products consumption, as well as their emissions.
Antônio says Molycop’s expansion in Brazil is evidence of its commitment to the Brazil market and offers Molycop the chance to provide close, fast and dedicated attention to its new and prospective customers.
